Fallout 3 Error

Need Help!

By Cobalt 4 years ago

I just re-installed vista 32-bit. Fallout 3 has worked perfectly for months before this btw. i downloaded steam, copied my backed-up steam files onto the new computer (so i wouldn't have to re-download anything) and then tried to start fallout 3.

this error when i start fallout 3 from steam: Fallout 3 failed to start (error code 51). and this error when i start it from the executable: Application load error 3:0000065432

All of my drivers (especially graphics) are up to date. Google has not helped.

Have you tried redoing the cache? Right click on the game, go to properties, local files and click on "Verify integrity of game cache..."

I think you might have to reinstall f3. You can keep your saves though.
